These bulbs were simple to install. Once I figured out which wire was the turn signal install was a breeze. The resistors and their connectors are simple and easy to install.

I get a bulb out warning and I was informed that I need to change the front resistors to 6 ohm

Everything went well until we got to the reverse lights. I had opted for the 1,000 lumen replacement which has 2 wire leads that plug to the standard harness. One of the units had one wire missing, appeared it may have been previously sold and returned in damaged condition would be my guess. The part I don't get is why this was apparently not visually inspected before being sent out to me. This defect was EASY to spot, so obviously it was not looked at in a serious way before shipment. No I did not contact headlight revolution as I knew they would simply think I did the damage and was trying to get a freebie for a product I ruined. I simply ordered another unit and will eat the $93 loss. Everything else went well, and my explanation of the defective unit is the reason for my 3 star review.

These bulbs replace store bought led bulbs ,the gtr bulbs are so much brighter than the name brand store bought bulbs. I should have gotten these GTR bulb first

Great bulbs, resistors are the hardest part, and those are not that difficult. Overall great.

NOT as expected. I followed website selection sequence to be sure. What I receive is RED bulbs but my RAM has red lens covers. I installed and they appear to be brighter than the factory bulbs but maybe probably not as bright as would be with WHITE LED replacements would be. Was relatively easy to install but did need to strip back the cable wire coverings to get to the two small bulb wires wires. I don't have pictures to help your visual and hope future reviewer will include. I am very comfortable doing stuff like this so I call this easy to install. I hoped for impressive brightness and got a little better than OEM bulb for brake/tail lights. I have seen newer RAM "1500" LED tail lights on the street day and night and they are great modern look.

This is the last planed upgrade to my truck after changing, over several weeks, the headlights, fog light and backup lights to LED. The videos and instructions from HR have been a big help. The upgrades did make a big improvement for night and fowl weather driving.

Now for the tail lights. Very easy to install until you get to the resistor as GTR Lighting (sold by HR) provided the wrong size screws for mounting it and ill-advised instructions. The screws are to large in diameter as they bite into the flange screw hole and its built in head collar scrape off part of the cooling fins on the resistor. Also, being hexhead the 1/4in socket has no room to fully drive the screw without damaging the side of the resistor - it's minor and may not affect the performance of the resistor. A 1/4in open-end wrench cannot be used on the passenger side as there is no room for the turning ark. After having one screw installed (also had to drill a pilot hole), it was time for a change. #6-20X1/2 Pan Phillips self Drill Zinc screws work like a champ, but I highly recommend that you drill a smaller pilot hole first. Those screws, along with the provided ones, are designed for thin sheet metal like gutters, not the heaver medal that's back there. A hammer drill could have worked but I didn't have one.

Regarding the instructions, there is no photo or mention as to where it should be placed. This is where common sense comes into play. I does get up to 240 degrees (information provided by a video on another product sold by HR and on the instructions), so it must be placed where it does not get close to the plastic housing in the back of the taillight assembly. Given the closeness of the assembly to the body after installation, there only one small area the resistor can be installed - it's easy to spot. This is why on the passenger side, a open end wrench won't work hardly at all. I did solder the resistor wires to the factory wires instead of using the provided clips - this was recommended by HR on another video. If you do this, be very careful in scrapping off the main wires insulation as the inside wires are very thin - or buy the fancy tool they had. It's obvious that the soldered area needs to be wrapped with electrical tape.

As to performance, as expected they are much brighter that stock, and this is what I was looking for. After driving through heavy down pours and steady rain, a difference between incandesce and LED taillights became obvious as the LED's were easer/faster to spot while at freeway speeds. I made the change for safety. Well worth the time and effort.
