2011-2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee HID Low Beam Kit: Looking for an upgraded HID Low Beam Kit from a reputable brand and value the fact that we've actually tested them on your truck? Our HR Tested kits include all the right components to ensure perfect fit, function, and performance from the upgrade. At Headlight Revolution, we do 2011-2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee HID lighting upgrades better!

2011 - 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee HID Low Beam Conversion Kit:

This kit Does NOT Work With Factory HID Models.:

Super Fast Start-Up Ballast: Are you sick of a slow ballast warm-up time? The GTR Lighting Slim PWM has an instant startup like new OEM ballasts of only 0.1s with full brightness reached at 9s.

Slim Design: This ballast is barely larger than a stack of credit cards. 3.5" long, 2.75" wide and a half-inch tall! Mounting is easy with the supplied bracket with tape and ground strap.

NOT ALL HID KITS ARE CREATED EQUAL!:

When you purchase: a GTR Lighting HID conversion kit for your vehicle you're getting the best of the best in terms of wire harness, connector, bulb and ballast quality. People all over the world trust GTR Lighting for being the pinnacle in quality for HID conversion kits. Our aftermarket ballasts are built with the highest quality components designed to last for 2,500 hours of use and provide up to 5,000 Lumen of light per HID bulb! Our bulbs provide a faster-than-average warmup time, and produce less operational noise when compared to other brands.

The GTR Lighting bulbs: are constructed to be the best of the best as well. We use the best aftermarket connectors, silicone wiring, and HID bulb capsules available to create a product that just works and works well. Our bulbs have the ability to produce 30% more light than budget-brand HID bulbs found elsewhere. It's not uncommon to hear stories about how after a customer switches to a GTR Lighting HID kit it's twice as bright as their old HID kit they got from somewhere else!

PWM Integration: PWM stands for Pulse Width Modulation, it's when the vehicle flashes the input voltage to your bulbs so fast that you can't see the difference, but it modulates the activity of the halogen bulb. That's fine on an old style halogen/incandescent, but on HID systems it might make a flashing or strobing effect, or not work at all. The proprietary technology used in the GTR Lighting GEN 5 Smart System HID ballast integrates with all PWM and CANBUS vehicles for optimal functionality.

CANBUS Integration: The key component of all HID ballasts is the controller used to manage all functions including ignition, protection, and constant use. Whatever type of controller is used is what dictates the quality level of the ballast. There are two kinds of controllers used inside HID ballasts: 1. CPU Controller -or- 2. ASIC Controller.

A standard CPU controller: is the most common contruction type for aftermarket ballasts becuase it is simple, common and cheap to produce. It requires very little quality control or strict design to function, therefore it's easy for ballast makers to create low quality CPU controlHID products. It isn't very hard and it is very cheap to build. They work OK when made with high quality components but this is not often the case. A CPU controller lacks the ability to monitor the HID lamp (as the lamp power-decay changes over time) so it can cause short lifespan from overpowering, or low light output from underpowering. Generally speaking the defect rate of a CPU Controller based ballast is high, and the lifespan is shorter.

An ASIC controller: like what's used in the GTR Lighting GEN 4 ballast is what you'll find in an OEM ballast for intelligent bulb control. The ASIC-based ballast technology is sophisticated, complex and intuitive. The Hylux ASIC technology will react to the bulb response to power and increase or decrease output to keep the bulb running bright for the longest possible time. ASIC technology also allows the ballast to have a higher level of CANBUS integration for vehicles that use PWM control or adaptive lighting. It's not a 100% fix for every vehicle, but the technology is designed to be the most flexible and work with the most applications easier. HID ballasts that use Hylux ASIC technology are also more expensive to make because the components required to build this system are high quality - you can not make a cheap ASIC ballast, therefore everything about a Hylux ballast is better: Faster warmup time, less ignition noise, brighter stable operating light, less flicker-fluctuation and a longer lifespan. Simply put, the GTR Lighting HID ballasts with GEN 4 Hylux technology are the best aftermarket ballast available.

We use: ultra high quality 100% Quartz glass to construct the main bulb component. The glass houses an OEM-grade xenon capsule using high quality halide salts from our materials supplier. Our bulbs use an OEM-inspired mounting and alignment system to keep the bulb perfectly centered where it needs to be - this is probably the most important aspect of why GTR Lighting bulbs are the best of the best. If your bulb is misaligned at all it will cause dim light output, shadows and poor beam patterns.

Compatibility: If your vehicle uses a CANBUS system to control and/or monitor the bulbs or if your vehicle uses a PWM system to control the bulbs, this GEN 5 ballast kit will be your best bet at perfect, plug and play operation. Nothing is guaranteed to work all the time because vehicle manufacturers are constantly updating the technology they use to operate and monitor the different lighting systems, but so far this new GEN 5 PWM/CANBUS ballast has integrated perfectly with everything we've tested it on, including Ram trucks, Mercedes cars, Chrylser cars, GMC trucks, and new Ford trucks.

This HID kit: uses single beam HID bulbs with a built-in adapter wiring harness. Single beam are the type of headlight or fog light bulbs that have 1 filament per bulb. If your car or truck has 2 light bulbs per headlight housing and one does low beam, the other does high beam - you've got single beam bulbs! Same goes for fog lights, nobody has ever built a car or truck with a dual beam fog light bulb.

NOTE ABOUT PROJECTORS: Some projector-based headlights use a single beam inside the projector and use an external actuator to control a shutter inside the housing to create a high beam/low beam effect, all the while using a single beam bulb... That means it's possible to have a single beam bulb control both high and low beam but only in SOME projector headlight applications. (e.g. Dodge Ram uses a single beam bulb + a dual beam Projector. Toyota Tacoma uses a single beam bulb + a single beam projector).

This kit: is designed to plug into your factory headlight wiring to control the new HID bulbs and ballasts. Lighting HID bulbs are designed to be a perfect fit replacement for any respective halogen/incandescent headlight or fog light bulb. We support the most common bulb types and some uncommon ones too! GTR Lighting HID bulbs are precisely engineered to work the best, brightest, and have the longest life time when used in conjunction with GTR Lighting HID ballasts, but they can also be used with most aftermarket HID ballasts. If you're unsure of which HID bulb style you need, please email us for assistance.

Very easy install! This is a high quality kit that produces a nice white color at 6k! The biggest hassle is getting to the headlight bulbs on this car. Very happy with product especially since it is backed by a lifetime warranty

Jeep Grand Cherokee 2018 HID conversion kit

Super bright! Went with 5000K, huge upgrade from stock halogen. Install wasn't too difficult. Tried diode dynamics LEDs prior to this and HID is def still the way to go for projectors in the Grand Cherokee. A little on the pricier end for HID kits but got it on sale with Black Friday deal and def worth it in terms of build quality.

2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

I recently purchased the SL1 kit from Diode Dynamics to replace my factory halogen bulbs. After getting them and installing them the light was pointed horribly to the passenger side of the road. They were also very difficult with the "Fans" on the back of them to get them to twist in correctly. I then did some more research and found these with a better video on installation procedures. I then ordered this kit and once getting it I installed it in less than an hour for both sides. Its a bit cumbersome with the way Jeep designed this specific headlight to reach in to where you need to. Light output is fantastic. Will always come here first for the next set!

Legitamately the best lighting upgrade, period. Amazingly light output and crazy nice cut off. I went with the 4300k OEM white with 55w ballasts and couldnÄôt be happier. HR stands by their product and the kit that arrived was very well built and the harnesses were high quality. Only reason I didnÄôt give it higher marks on the install is that FCA/Jeep made the sockets nearly impossible to reach. The bulbs themselves fit perfect. Even though itÄôs not the lastest lighting tech, the HIDs are the way to go over LEDs in this case. PWM smart ballasts didnÄôt throw a single code. Only thing I had to do is reverse the polarity on the plug that connects to the OEM harness like the YT video says. Thanks HR!
