Carbide Series OverviewThe Carbide Series 2.0 3156/3157 from GTR Lighting is a remarkable bump in performance from what was already a good light in version 1.0. These LED Lights are focused on one thing, getting the most light onto your target as physics will allow for. Here at Headlight Revolution we personally love the visual appeal of the lights even when they're off. GTR poured some real effort into designing an attractive package and it shows. What might amaze you is how much technology is packed inside though.
CANbus Compatible - Canbus vehicles can wreck a brilliant lighting upgrade in no time. GTR doesn't want its customers experiencing that pain and neither do we. That's why we love that the Carbide Series 2.0 has Canbus integration built-in. No more resistors, no more having to hack your wiring to ensure you avoid 'bulb-out' warnings, no more flicker, and no more hyper flash. It's all a thing of the past with the Carbide 2.0.
Redundencey: The Carbide Series 2.0 features something called the Intelligent Temperature Control System or ITCS. It features layers of design that keep this bulb cool on the hottest of days. First, the aluminum casting itself evacuates heat at a rapid pace. Add to it internal heat sink fins that further cool the light. Finally, if for some reason the light should experience unexpectedly high temperatures a thermistor circuit is constantly monitoring in case the power needs to be reduced. There's no way around it, GTR wants this to be the last set of bulbs you ever buy.
What's Included:
Two CANBUS Friendly LED Bulb Replacements (Fixes rapid flash, hyper flash and bulb out errors)
NOTE: Do you have CK style wiring or Standard? These bulbs will only work with standard style wiring. Click Here to find out which bulbs you need.
These LED bulbs will replace any T20 based 3156/3157 series bulb, here is the bulb cross reference guide for this product: 3057, 3157, 3457, 4057, 4157 & T20

GTR Lighting Carbide Series 2.0 CANBUS
by john haman
they don,t work correctly in 2019 ford f250 bulbs don,t hyper flash outside but dash signal goes into hyper flash
Good... no hyper flash!
by Chris Moore -
Very bright bulb and no hyper flash on 2012 Silverado. The white running light on the switchback is only half as bright as the amber turn signal when activated.
Still get light out on dash.
by Jesus Mijares -
I still get light out in dash when I turn on my lights and get the hipper flash as well. Only time the work ok is at daytime when the running lights are off
Works as they should and looks nice.

I bought these due to them not needing resistors wired in. They look and work great. Suttle at idle and very bright when turning! I give em 4 stars due to the high cost. A side note that this company's customer service is on another level and that's why I chose to spend extra. If you have an issue (like I did) they will stick with you to help! 6 stars on customer service!

Work as described, not quite as desired.

I got these in switchback for turn signals/DRLs on my 04 Pontiac Grand Prix. The CANBUS function works for me, no hyper-flash at all. I like the brightness of the amber but the white is a bit dim for my liking. I wanted the to match up a bit better to the fog lights I got but they're a bit lacking.
I still love them, especially the fact that I don't have to have resistors spliced in. (They do have a bit of trouble in the heat of Texas as the bulbs are hot from the heat and then running as DRLs they act a bit wacky when using turn signals.) I will still buy these for other applications that don't use switchback, like brake lights and turn signals on other cars, but the switchback is just a bit disappointing.
And the lights behaviors are unlike others I've used. They run dim amber during day with bright amber turn doing off,on style. At night the white is running with a bright amber turn but the white stay on with the amber going over it. Haven't had that happen with others but the amber is so bright it's still easily visible. Just unusual.
They work in some turn signal applications

Tried these in my 2009 Chrysler 300C for front & rear turn signals. They work great for the fronts but in the rear they go into Hyper-Flash mode. They are extremely bright! Wish they would have worked in the rear as well as they did in the front.
