SLF LED Bulbs: Diode Dynamics came to the market with these SLF LED Bulbs and we couldn't be much more impressed. They rightly call attention to the exceptionally high build quality and reliability of these lights as well as their smartly designed hotspot and clear optics. Available in Yellow or white, take a deeper dive into what makes the SLF Special below.
Optimized Performance: We all want performance without compromise and the SLF delivers that. Unlike other bulbs that claim insane lumen numbers, or aren't legal on the road, the SLF backs up its claims with clear evidence of their ability to produce brighter light (780 lumens) in a clear and well-defined beam pattern that reduces glare and wasted light. They can manage that thanks to their in-house advanced optical design software which uses a process called 'ray tracing' to simulate exactly what each ray of light is doing as it leaves the light source and works its way onto the target. Through this process, they've ensured that every ray possible brightens up your path.
Rugged Design: While brightness is key in any good light, Diode Dynamics took exception to all the cheap junk out there that starts out bright but can't stand up to the workload of OEM lights. The SLF was built from the ground up to meet or exceed the reliability standards of OEM lighting. It's been torture-tested from temperatures ranging from -40 to 185 degrees F. Combine that with stress relief points in the wiring harness, solderless terminals, and exclusive zinc castings and you can see why we like it so much.
JDM vs. USDM Clarification: There is a great deal of confusion when it comes to the differences between 5202, H16, and PSX24W bulb sizes. The main source of confusion is the fact that "H16" is used for two types of bulbs: in Japan, it is an H11-style bulb, with standard H11-size base, running at a lower power level. However, in Europe, "H16" was used to refer to the newer tab-lock style of bulb, which we refer to as "5202".
