SL1 9006 LED Bulbs: Diode Dynamics came to the market with these SL1 9006 LED Bulbs and we couldn't be much more impressed. They rightly call attention to the exceptionally high build quality and reliability of these lights as well as their smartly designed hotspot and clear optics. Take a deeper dive into what makes the SL1 Special below.
Optimized Performance: We all want performance without compromise and the SL1 delivers that. Unlike other bulbs that claim insane lumen numbers, or aren't legal on the road, the SL1 Fog Light backs up its claims with clear evidence of their ability to produce brighter light (1630 lumens) in a clear and well-defined beam pattern that reduces glare and wasted light. They can manage that thanks to their in-house advanced optical design software which uses a process called 'ray tracing' to simulate exactly what each ray of light is doing as it leaves the light source and works its way onto the target. Through this process, they've ensured that every ray possible brightens up your path.
Rugged Design: While brightness is key in any good light, Diode Dynamics took exception to all the cheap junk out there that starts out bright but can't stand up to the workload of OEM lights. The SL1 was built from the ground up to meet or exceed the reliability standards of OEM lighting. It's been torture-tested from temperatures ranging from -40 to 185 degrees F. Combine that with stress relief points in the wiring harness, solderless terminals, and exclusive zinc castings and you can see why we like it so much.
Size and Heat: A major issue with the vast majority of LED lights on the market today is heat evacuation. To combat high temperatures, many manufacturers incorporate large fans or heat sinks into the bulb assembly. More often than not, these aren't even adequate enough to ensure a long life. At the same time, those large parts ensure that fitment is a pain thanks to the additional heft. Diode Dynamics works around this problem with intelligent engineering in the form of a MagLev fan that won't create interference as it cools the bulb. Because of this high-end tech, the bulb isn't much larger than the original halogen unit, allowing for easier installation and use.
Boost Mode Circuitry: In keeping with their OEM or better quality control, Diode Dynamics uses the same Boost Most Circuitry that you'd find in an OEM LED bulb to ensure that no electrical system can cause an uneven load on the LEDs and burn them out. It's even capable of handling many complex systems that would otherwise require an additional Canbus harness.

These bulbs are very bright. I bought these as fog lights for my 2015 ram 1500 and using thw grt ultra 2 led light as my low beam. Very impressed with the combination. I can see the road at night again!!!
Their working great. The 45degree angle dose catch on a screw, but are working well. Better than what I did have. The old lights Hal's. It was dark in front of my semi. I had to learn about dean focus too! Thanhs for the help.
Dits perfectly with Corolla 2007 LE. Make sure the bulb is on tight!
Great color light with almost no blue in it. They focus well in my Toyota Rav4 headlights. You don't need anything brighter than this!
This fit perfectly in my aftermarket headlight housing on my 08 F150. The beam pattern is great and way brighter than stock halogen.
Diode Dynamics in '04 Grand Cherokee Limited

Installed these Diode Dynamics 9006 LED bulbs in my '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited at the low beam position. These bulbs are installed in aftermarket Spyder projector headlights and this combination is absolutely amazing to say the least. The light output is greater and more focused than any other vehicle I have driven allowing more light in front of the vehicle, on the road and out of the eyes of oncoming drivers. I also have a '13 Charger with factory projector/H.I.D. headlights and the Jeeps headlights are WAY better. The Charger also has Diode Dynamics LED fog lights which improved the light output of the fog lights and I was very impressed so that's why I purchased the low beams for my Jeep. I had to reverse the polarity of the plug (rotate the plug 180 degrees) where it plugs into the Jeeps harness in order to get them to power on and I also had to use my Dremel tool to cut out a bit of the plastic/composite "panel" (for lack of a better term) behind both headlight assemblies in order for the LED bulbs to fit once the headlight assemblies are reinserted and fastened to the front end. Yes, these LED bulbs are EXPENSIVE and yes, you can get a pair of bulbs much cheaper but... in this case, you get exactly what you pay for. The quality is outstanding and probably can not be beat. Plus you can't beat that they are made in the U.S.A.! It's a win, win situation!
Great product but..
Works great, but not in my 2017 Kia Sportage Lx Awd.
It trips the diagnostic computer to saying the fog lights are dead. (Flashes annoyingly).
Additionally, they do not plug n play.
You have to remove 3 plastic nubs (I used a dremel) that are on the rear projector beam housing for the Heatsink to properly clear.
Otherwise? Very well built!
Nice cool white with a
Nice cool white with a good spread but just not as bright as I expected it
2006 Silverado - Like Night and Day
Best lighting move I could have made, and to top it off its made here in the US! I've become so used to the incredible brightness that when driving vehicles with normal halogen bulbs I can't tell if the lights are on! These are very much a safety upgrade as well as sleek.
Installation was extremely simple, and the LEDs mound very snug, so give it a bit of push when clicking into place.
