Optimized Performance: We all want performance without compromise and the SL1 delivers that. Unlike other bulbs that claim insane lumen numbers, or aren't legal on the road, the SL1 Fog Light backs up its claims with clear evidence of their ability to produce brighter light (1630 lumens) in a clear and well-defined beam pattern that reduces glare and wasted light. They can manage that thanks to their in-house advanced optical design software which uses a process called 'ray tracing' to simulate exactly what each ray of light is doing as it leaves the light source and works its way onto the target. Through this process, they've ensured that every ray possible brightens up your path.

Rugged Design: While brightness is key in any good light, Diode Dynamics took exception to all the cheap junk out there that starts out bright but can't stand up to the workload of OEM lights. The SL1 was built from the ground up to meet or exceed the reliability standards of OEM lighting. It's been torture-tested from temperatures ranging from -40 to 185 degrees F. Combine that with stress relief points in the wiring harness, solderless terminals, and exclusive zinc castings and you can see why we like it so much.

Size and Heat: A major issue with the vast majority of LED lights on the market today is heat evacuation. To combat high temperatures, many manufacturers incorporate large fans or heat sinks into the bulb assembly. More often than not, these aren't even adequate enough to ensure a long life. At the same time, those large parts ensure that fitment is a pain thanks to the additional heft. Diode Dynamics works around this problem with intelligent engineering in the form of a MagLev fan that won't create interference as it cools the bulb. Because of this high-end tech, the bulb isn't much larger than the original halogen unit, allowing for easier installation and use.

Boost Mode Circuitry: In keeping with their OEM or better quality control, Diode Dynamics uses the same Boost Most Circuitry that you'd find in an OEM LED bulb to ensure that no electrical system can cause an uneven load on the LEDs and burn them out. It's even capable of handling many complex systems that would otherwise require an additional Canbus harness.
