These models are the only ones that worked with the led headlight add for the reflector headlights. You will need these with the headlights on RAM. Great product.

No bulb out error

by -

Installed in the high beam of a 2014 ram 3500. No bulb out error and no flickering on high beam. I did have a strobe effect when on DRL mode followed by the light being turned off. I solved this by putting a toilet bowl bolt cover painted matte black over the DRL sensor on the dash below the wind shield. So now my low beams are on all of the time. The performance of the high beam of the GTR lighting gen 3 LEDs and the pwm module are way to good to give up just have the DRL function back. Overall high build quality and great performance. Highly recommended.

No flicker, no bulb out error

by -

High build quality with excellent oem style connectors. The unit seems very water tight and works very well with my gtr lighting gen 3 bulbs. They were a little tricky to tuck them into the headlight housing but got them in. They allow the bulbs to not flicker or cause a bulb out error on my 2014 ram 3500. Overall, very satisfied with the products!

2014 Chevy Silverado

Install was on a 2014 Silverado. This truck requires a little work to get ANY bulb in on the passenger side. Not difficult, just takes a few minutes. The bulbs are bright but the pattern isn't perfect. It seems that the light isn't quite straight ahead, but it works. Seems to light up the ditch more than OEM. It was suggested by a sales rep that I order the error modules but you DO NOT need them in a 2014 Silverado LT w/all star package. Everything fit inside housing since bulbs have braid heat sink. One of the bulbs mounting tabs snapped while simply doing a test install, they said I could return along with the error modules so we will see how that goes. I think I just got a weak one or something. Overall, I would buy again. They are instant on-and give the truck a good look.

V.4 LED Headlights, 9005 Installed on 2019 Expedition

by -

I installed the low-beams (eventually) on a 2019 Ford Expedition. The light output is almost too bright!! (If there is such a thing) The modules with the lights work out of the box on the Expedition, as well as the PWM Module for the DTR mode for the Low Beams!

Unfortunately, The V.4 9005 bulb assembly is NOT plug and play in this Ford housing. The tabs assembly is too thick to insert and twist into the housing directly. You CAN get this installed with some extra work. Headlight housings have the circular retainer ring with cut-outs to allow the bulb to be inserted one way for proper installation. I filed a 45deg. chamfer on the back side of the 3 tabs on the bulb collar to try to engage the retainer ring on the housing. I could still not get the bulb to twist lock into place. I noticed 3 screws on the retainer ring. Back out the 3 screw with a Torx bit about a half turn to provide more clearance and this allows to twist lock the bulb in place. Be sure to clock the bulbs to work properly in the projector housing. The light pattern

Even though it takes time, all this would be easier if you get the light housings off the vehicle to work on as getting the screws backed out and the modules inside the light housing is quite a trick to do all of this with the headlights still installed.

Other thoughts
You can see that getting lights installed on newer vehicles certainly takes more work than on older models. On a 2004 Yukon, I can get the headlight housings out in 30 Sec. Not so true on newer models. I hope that the lights I installed are reliable and have a long life.

Also would like instructions on the polarity of the lights and PWM module plugs as there were none! Successfully followed the tiny polarity symbols on the PWM and it appeared that the light module plugs in one way to lock together
