The 2002 - 2005 Dodge Ram: uses a single 9007 dual beam bulb. This bulb produces low beam and high beam in the same bulb. In order to upgrade this to an HID system to get more light output you have to install a 9007 dual beam HID conversion kit. This kit includes a special harness with a pair of resistor harnesses with integrated capacitors. The HID conversion kit comes with the ballasts, bulbs and relay harness. The extra resistors and capacitors are used to trick the truck's CANBUS monitoring and control system into thinking that the original halogen light bulbs are still in place. By installing the extra parts to trick the vehicle's onboard CANBUS system you won't get any "light out" warnings on the dash, and everything will work how it's supposed to from the factory.
WARNING: IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN OUR VIDEO YOU COULD SET OFF A CODE IN THE TIPM TO CANCEL POWER TO THE HEADLIGHTS THAT CAN ONLY BE RESET BY THE DEALER! IT'S IMPORTANT TO DO THE INSTALL EXACTLY HOW WE SHOW YOU BEFORE YOU EVEN TEST IT!
The 35w HID conversion kit: produces 3,500 Lumens of light which is about 3.5 times brighter than your original light bulbs. If you select the 45w ballast upgrade option you'll supercharge your headlights up to 5,000 Lumens which is 5 times brighter than stock!
