LED Mirror Lights for Trucks and SUVs
A lot of people assume "LED mirror lights" just means dropping a brighter bulb into the plastic housing that came on the truck. That is not what you are looking at here. These are complete housings with a real LED optic and a sequential signal pattern built in, so the swap changes both how much light you get and how your mirror looks day and night, not just the color temperature of a bulb.
Fitment Quirks We've Seen in the Shop
Wiring is not identical across platforms, and that matters once you have the mirror apart. On the 2010-2019 Dodge Ram XB mirror lights, the housing plugs straight into the factory connector with one power wire and one ground wire per side, and if a side does not light up the fix is simply to swap those two wires, no schematic needed. The 2009-2014 F-150 install is a different animal: you pull the puddle light, reach up to find the factory rear-facing turn signal wiring, and T-tap the new wires in rather than plugging into a dedicated mirror light connector. The F-150 driver side clip has two prongs holding it in place while the passenger side has one, so don't expect both sides to release the same way. Know which style your truck uses before you start pulling trim.

Most of these mirror housings double as a sequential turn signal, and on the Ram they switch from a white running light back to the sequential signal, so once they're in, your mirror is doing extra work up front. If you're refreshing the rest of your signal lighting at the same time, it's worth checking our turn signals so the look and timing match front to back.
I always tell customers to check their trim level before ordering. Some lower trims never got mirror lights from the factory, which means you may need the OEM harness added before these will plug in. Confirm that first, then order with confidence knowing the housing itself is a straightforward plug and play swap. On the Ram they install with no modifications, no error codes, no hyper flashing, and they won't void your factory warranty.
