Tail Lights

Tail Light & 3rd Brake Light Upgrades

Last fall we swapped a customer's stock tail lights for LED units in a parking lot, right before dark. The difference was instant: brake and turn signals that read clearly a full block back, not just a warmer color. Bottom line: chase light output first, styling second, and let your 3rd brake light finish the job.

On a 2021-2023 Ford F-150, Morimoto XB tail lights bolt straight into 2024+ trucks at base trim, because the sheet metal never changed. Higher trims (XLT and up) are a different story: Ford relocated the BLIS blind-spot radar into a reshaped housing, so those same tails are not confirmed to work there. Know your trim before you order, not after. The X3B third brake light is unchanged and stays compatible on 2024+.

Check your trim level before you buy, especially on newer F-150s.

What do you need to upgrade?

Tail Light Assemblies

Full-housing LED replacements for a real light output jump, covering trucks like the Tacoma, Tundra, Yukon, and F-150 with plug-and-play adapter harnesses. Most owners can install a pair in about 30 minutes.

3rd Brake Lights

Morimoto X3B units add a brighter, wider brake signal above the tailgate with a rail-style optic that lights up the bed; F-150 versions keep the factory bed camera working with a simple camera swap, and Super Duty owners can add the center marker light that doubles as a 4th brake and running light.
