Those results show through to the finished product too thanks to digitally optimized LED positioning that most closely matches the original filament tolerances. Better Fitment: We've heard many who assume that because the Ultra Series 3 is smaller than competitors that it's weaker and less capable. They couldn't be more wrong. Thanks to TST (Thermal Separation Technology), it is more able to effectively dissipate heat, allowing the emitters to retain high luminous flux output. That results in 3,300 lumens of output and a considerably easier time installing them. There are zero downsides here.

These LEDs do the best with the poorly designed reflector Dodge used in these trucks. If you own a 3rd Gen then you know the headlights should have been better. I've owned this truck since new and never really been happy with the headlight beam pattern especially the Hi beams.
I didn't want to post a review until I had some good seat time night and wow what a difference. I can finally give them a good honest review after over 3000mi of driving in varying conditions.
Pros: the low beam pattern is very good and I haven't been flashed by on coming traffic which was a huge concern for me, I'm pretty sure when the hi beams are on the low beams stay on as well, which does not happen with the OEM halogens, the low beam light output is just so superior it makes night driving much more relaxing, after a month and over 3000mi I haven't had an issue, the light color is a true bright white and not into the blue spectrum.
CONS: Hard to fault the LEDs in this regard, but the high beams still could be better. Dodge IMO really did a crap job on the reflectors in these truck for the hi beams and IMO nothing DOT legal will really fix this issue, but the LEDs are better.The other one is the LEDs don't really produce heat in the housing, I expect icing could be a issue to some.

Install wasn't difficult, but I would have liked to see a good set of written instructions, I don't recall mine coming with any, however there is a video on youtube, but it leaves out a couple of things. One being make sure you remove the gasket on the LED before you intall it in the housing. My housings are OEM and there is a gasket attached to the OEM housing. Second the LEDs have an adjustable clocking ring and you'll want to make sure you install them into the housing and they are correctly clocked or your beam pattern will be wrong. I believe this was turn them clockwise setting the mounting ring into the housing and then making sure the LED was turned fully clockwise in the clocking ring. Third the CANBUS adapter doesn't fit the trucks headlight plug(I mean it fits however the little locking clip will not lock the male and female plugs together) Headlight Revolution suggest using a zip tie to fix this issue and that would work, but... This didn't sit well with me so I looked at why this would happen. Easy enough fix...The CANBUS adapter plug has two parallel alignment tabs and those need to be slightly thinned on the ends to slide fully into the trucks headlight plug. Take a close look at the stock bulb plug and the CANBUS adapter to vehicle plug and you will see the area the needs material removed. After that instillation was easy.

I put these in my 2008 Dodge ram tow truck pulling a race car trailer. Definitely made a huge difference! I really like how clean and bright the headlights are now. Easy install, the video was a tremendous help in making my decision.
