2016 - 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500,2500,3500 LED bulb replacement upgrade.
Replace: your OEM D5S bulb with a brighter D5S LED bulb from Morimoto. This Kit Works with both the 2016+ GMC Sierra 1500, 2500, 3500. As well as the 2016+ Chevy Silverado 1500.
When it comes to LED bulbs,: Morimoto has always brought us the best in the aftermarket, and their latest examples are no exception. Sure we think the options from Philips and Osram are great too, but when it comes to bang for the buck - nothing compares to the Morimoto XB LED lineup. Compared to any original D5 bulb; the XB's will produce more lumens, project farther, and look better doing it. Definitely worth the price. The OEM D5S is a 25w bulb that has the ballast built into it. The Morimoto is a 35w setup and they claim it's twice as bright as OEM even though it doesn't draw twice as much power. This claim has been corroborated by other people who purchased it. Also the color of the Morimoto D5S better matches the OEM LED DRL.
First Mover: Since the introduction of the D5 bulbs to original-equipment world, there's been a couple shoddy attempts by the aftermarket to offer an "upgrade" - nothing more than D1 bulbs with wiring rigged to their inputs that A) didnt fit properly, and B) required splicing the factory harness. The XB D5 from Morimoto is the FIRST bulb that's designed to be a true D5 upgrade. Factory fitment. Factory wiring. Aftermarket First!
Lumin Osity: Sure it's nice to be able to pick a higher Kelvin like 5500K or 6500K, but that's not even the best part! All Philips and Osram D5 Bulbs only run at 25W, but the integrated ballast in the base of the XB pumps out 35w. What that means for you? An easy 40% bump in output compared to stock bulbs! Paired with the cooler Kelvin rating that not only looks better, but provides better contrast while driving at night - the XB D5 bulbs are undoubtedly the best way to boost the performance from your headlights.
Precise Alignment: Morimoto's Symmetry-Structure frame surrounds the base of the glass capsule keeping everything properly lined up, which is paramount when it comes to LED bulbs. In the past we all agreed that precision wasn't the strong suit for the XB bulbs... But the latest are indeed the greatest - and they're now consistently well-aligned, which is a good thing - because it means the output is also consistently bright and uniform throughout. [Applause]
Compliance: The XB bulbs are built to industry-standard specifications and meet/exceed all SAE, DOT, and ECE requirements, making them a perfect match for a replacement bulb or upgrade!
NOTE: Not compatible with automatic mode. Must use manual mode.Recommend disabling illumination before engine-on

Why did I wait so long?
While the DIY installation took me longer than anticipated (mainly due to the very limited amount of space to work with), the Youtube installation overview provided by HLR was completely spot on.
In terms of the headlight bulbs themselves, I own a rather new GMC 2500 Denali that came with the worst/weakest headlights I've ever had on any vehicle I've ever owned in my entire life. This truck is also the most expensive vehicle I've ever owned as well. The OEM bulbs lacked brightness and seemed to fall more on the blue side of the light spectrum. When it rained, you couldn't even tell you had your headlights on. The had a very wide beam, but it was dull and pretty worthless. The high beams didn't add any additional brightness or power either. They just extended the same dull brightness to a wider viewing area.
The new Morimoto bulbs I purchased from HLR are much brighter than the GMC/Sylvania bulbs and I ordered the bright white color scheme, which completely changes and significantly improves my nighttime visibility. The bright beams now boosts the brightness even more while increasing the viewing area. I should have done this upgrade right after buying the truck, but better than that, GMC should be doing the right thing and making certain their top line trucks come with the safest and brightest headlights possible for the money.
2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali HID bulb upgrade
I installed these in my 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali Duramax diesel.
Big improvement over stock HID bulbs.
The delivery and installation were
The delivery and installation were great and easy. Little expensive, but so far worth it.
The best hid bulbs I have ever purchased, would definitely make another purchase from headlight REVOLUTION in the future for all my light needs
Morimoto upgrade for GMC headlights is a MUST!
If you drive a GMC truck you are very aware the headlights are disappointing. The light output is dismal at best.
I upgraded my D5s hid lamps and what a difference. The 5500k is a white light which illuminates the road nicely. Once I hit the high beams what a difference a 35 watt lamp upgrade will do for visibility and safety.
Had just over 1 year. Not to impressed. Somewhat disappointed spend 500.00 and 80.00 on a set of LEDs for wife Colorado way brighter.
I put the headlights in
I put the headlights in in about 15 minutes as I have worked on these trucks before. You have to pull out the air box on the passenger side but the drivers side installs in about a minute. I can see the road and off to the side about 50% better. The only downside is the cost
