Constant Current Driver: The Armor Series of LED bulbs from GTR Lighting are built using a state of the art Constant Current Driver inside the bulb. This allows them to be more reliable when used on vehicles that have voltage fluctuations due to electrical system design or fault. A constant current driver is a device that takes any incoming voltage and smooths it out, regulates it, so a steady stream of voltage/current reaches the LED. This helps the LED bulb last longer than bulbs that don't have this device built in.
GTR Lighting 50 watt 6 ohm Gold Style Resistors:
When installing: LED bulbs to replace your factory blinker bulbs, you will have a "fast flash" or "hyperflash" problem. This means the vehicle will think you have a light bulb burnt out and, as an indicator to you, will flash quicker than normal. Installing these resistors will fool your vehicle into thinking it has a light bulb in good condition installed and will blink normally. Simply wire the resistor between the ground wire and the blinking positive wire.
When installing: LED xenon lighting in some vehicles it will not work properly because the vehicle uses a CANBUS monitoring system. It sees the LED ballast instead of a regular halogen bulb and thinks there is a problem. Some cars or trucks will give a light-out warning indicator light on the dash, others will simply not supply headlight voltage, or flicker the headlight voltage. Installing this universal resistor kit with your LED kit will fool your vehicle into thinking it has a normally functioning halogen headlight in place. Simply wire the resistor between the ground wire and positive wire for the headlight bulb.
WARNING!: The resistors get hot! It is very important to mount them to something metal behind the headlights with screws, not zip ties. The resistors get so hot they can melt some light plastic and short wires. Keep them away from all wiring and heat sensitive materials!

Great upgrade, no resistors needed!
I started out only intending to upgrade my abysmal stock low beams, but after seeing the HR videos things snowballed a bit... up to now I have upgraded the low and high beams, and added these switchbacks. One thing that a buyer should know is that if you are willing to use FORScan, you don't need to mess around with the resistors at all! You can disable the hyperflash on the dash indicators using FORScan in a couple of minutes. (Good to know, the bulbs themselves don't hyperflash, it's only on the dash indicators because the truck thinks a bulb is out). And if you're the sort of person who wants to upgrade their lighting, it's pretty much guaranteed you'll find other uses for that tool. For example, I switched my DRL function to the white 'parking' light on these and I'll see how I like it over time.
Another point: pay close attention to how these seat in the connector. The heatsink base takes up way more space than the stock incandescent assembly, and the way it flares can inhibit the clips from seating fully. I found this out after installing the first side, testing, moving to the next side, and then noticing that when I tested both at the same time the first was no longer lighting. It had popped itself partially free but thankfully was still holding barely in the socket. A little persuasion with pliers on the metal clips got them seating very firmly. Fun fact, these bulbs have nothing magnetic in them (I checked) so if one were to fall into the housing it would really suck.
Final bit of info, these do color match perfectly with the Diode Dynamics SL1 and the GTR Ultra 2 (my low/high beams).
Love the look of bright lights instead of the stock yellow color.
great idea, bad implementation
the bulb itself is nice. I love the white/amber light..
but it's not made right. it kept jumping out of the connector in my 19 F150.
it was a pain to get it out of the headlight assembly. I ended up glueing it in place to stay there..
Nice and bright. If using the supplied taps for the resistor just make sure you take some pliers and close it all the way.

Bought these less than a year ago and just noticed today that one has burned out. Disappointing to say the least for the money spent.
2018 F-150 XLT
These lights are well made. The switch back feature is so amazing. Also easy to install.
But instead of wiring in the resistor that gets super hot use the Forscan software to remove hyper flash.
Great final product
Lights work extremely well. I am happy with the result. The LEDs fit well into the turn signal housing. The clamp connectors provided to wire in the resistors did not work well and I ended up soldering in the resistor. I suggest either providing better connectors or instructing customers to solder. Also, the passenger resistor location is harder to find a suitable mounting location due to fluid reservoir - suggest mentioning this in installation video.
