INSTALLATION DOCUMENTS

Complete 5202/2504 HID Kit: If you've been looking for a complete one-stop-shop kinda kit to run HIDs, this one from GTR Lighting has been painstakingly designed to optimize performance and reliability. High-quality materials are everywhere and the output is exceptional from the Ultra Series HID bulbs. Expect it to impress all your friends.

The Pinnacle: One of the HID bulbs that put GTR Lighting on the map was this, the Ultra Series. It provides a seriously powerful upgrade to anyone looking to go from halogen to HID.

Precision: One of the hardest things to do in HID lighting is to get the alignment of the bulb itself in the halogen-based housing. Without that, no amount of tweaking and modification is going to get you proper lighting. Thankfully, GTR went to painstaking lengths to ensure an absolutely perfect alignment with the Ultra Series. Each and every bulb is laser aligned into the housing and checked for fitment before it leaves the factory.

Materials: To ensure that alignment doesn't go to waste, GTR uses the best Philips UV Resistant Quartz available. It won't dim and fade fast like lesser alternatives. It comes standard with insulated wiring to make the connections from your AMP style connectors to your ballast as though this harness came from the factory itself. No cutting, no soldering, no splicing. Just plug-n-play performance.

Benchmarking: GTR Lighting didn't design a ballast with simply their own product in mind, they built it to outperform the best of the best in the business. That's why you'll appreciate that the Ultra Series HID Ballast is quieter the competitors while also providing a lighting quick ignition of intense brightness in just .1 seconds with complete power in only 9 seconds. The assembly itself is built to handle the roughest trails, tracks, and weather you can throw at it. This ballast is the complete package.

Installation Ease: Coming in at an incredible compact 2.75x3.5 inches, thisballast is small enough to fit almost anywhere and has complete mounting hardware as well as a grounding strap included.

Flicker Free & No More Bulb Out: Thanks to intelligent Canbus integration technology and an ASIC controller, these ballasts can handling pulsed width voltage or even a complex Canbus circuit. By leveraging those innovations you'll never get lamp out warnings, bulb out warnings, or flickering lighting. GTR really did think of everything.

Body: The high-quality materials will have you proud of your purchase too. The harness itself is 13 inches long, providing more than ample installation flexibility. The body of the ballast is shockproof to handle all of the roads' bumps and bruises, and the outer layer of the wiring loom is fitted with abrasion-resistant mesh so you can count on this ballast to have no weak links.

HID single beam fifth generation conversion kit

The kit was very straightforward the only issue that I had one of the ballast wiring to the main harness the polarity was switched simply turning the plug over fixed the problem I highly recommend the fifth generation. The HID was very bright just what I was looking for Thanks headlight revolutions

35W 5k 2013 Ford Taurus

by

I was growing increasingly frustrated with the OE halogens in my 2013 Taurus' projectors. The light was technically decent and yet, driving down windy back roads at night was not a very comfortable experience. If it rained, forget about it, I may as well have turned them off, same difference.

I got mine (9012) with 5k bulbs and I really could not be happier. 6k would have probably provided that cool HID "look" but I don't much care about looks, I want light and these babies deliver. Way brighter than halogens; cut off is sharp; light plentiful with very good forward reach and nice, even distribution in all directions; white (warm-ish but not yellow, with no hint of blue). I went with 35W variant out of concern for oncoming traffic as well possibility of melted housing. Sure, 55W would have likely been much brighter but I'm not lacking for light so no regrets. There is some increased glare coming out my stock projectors but appears no worse/annoying than any other car with HID/LED stock (or so my eyes tell me).

Build quality is very solid and installation literally plug-n-play with the only modification to make is cutting a small hole in the housings' rubber dust covers in a way that allows you to feed the pass-thru harness and not obliterate them in the process (it's not difficult). About the only issue is, where the hell to stuff and secure the ballasts and igniter boxes. Depending on how cramped your engine bay around the housings is this may or may not be a bit problematic.

The lights do get some time to reach full brightness. Indicated 9s is about right. But then, that is the nature of all HIDs.

Two other things that I had ( or chose ) to do were:
- Turn off DRL as it was using the low beam at reduced voltage for this purpose, don't want to cycle them on/off every time I start the car.
- Switch off my auto headlights since apparently in today's modern cars full of sophisticated computers and software it is hard for manufacturers to figure out how to delay the headlights coming on automatically until cranking is done. You can really see the ballasts struggling during that time. Not the fault of the GTR system, I just don't want to risk shortening the lifespan of it if I can help it and so I have to turn my lights on manually now; oh the horror!

Both things a small sacrifice to make in order to see properly at night.

Great Product A++

by

Awesome customer service via email and via phone call. They truly care about providing superb customer experience. The lights are great and before buying the product for my 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport I had no idea how easy it was to install this product, plug and play and I'm not tech savy or an expert installing any type of electronic. Highly recommend it!! I love my 8k color temp and they're super bright with the proper light output and great color as well.

Have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. My wife hated the headlights, way too dim! Looked around and found HR. Installed them (very easy) and it is literally a night and day difference!! Very happy, mostly because my wife is very happy!!

Plug and play

by -

Lights work perfectly and were plug and play. They are really bright and a true 6000k diamond white. I have led fog lights and they match perfectly in color. (05 Pontiac GTO)

Had some amazon led in

by -

Had some amazon led in before and these blew them out off the water in every way. Eventually when the bulbs burn out I'll go from 8k to 6k for a color closer to that of the suns.
