This headlight complies to meet the proposed National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) guidelines for a 5-Star NCAP-compliant low beam headlight, when installed on vehicles at gross weight with headlights at 0.8 2m off the ground.


The Model 8900 Evolution 2 5 x7in: LED headlights offer a safety solution with improved light output, glare reduction, and light placement for heavy-duty trucking on-road.

5-Star NCAP-compliant Technology: The Model 8900 Evolution 2 will exceed the proposed FMVSS 108 standard in at least these three criteria, meeting 5-Star compliance: 1. Street legal supporting DOT, ECE and Military standards: DOT versions are for use in the U.S. DOT-compliant guarantees that your lights are legal on the road, meeting section 108 requirements of the Federal Motor Safety Standards. Your DOT-compliance is clearly etched on the lens of the light. ECE versions are for use outside of the U.S. ECE-compliant guarantees your lights are compliant in the European Union and in non-European countries that have adopted ECE Regulations for visibility, durability, and reliability.

Great lights

Installed these on my 94 corvette, no modifications needed. The light output is awesome, over 50 percent more light. They are worth the price as now I can see what is ahead and less stress driving at night!

JW Speaker 8900 Evolution 2 Dual Beam 5" x 7" Chrome Headlight

Awesome lights. Installed in a 40 passenger bus with halogen lights. No comparison. These are so much better with bright white light. The beam pattern is excellent with a nice clean top cutoff line. The high beam is incredible. I did my research before purchasing. These were higher priced but well worth the investment.

Great headlight

I have been using the lights for about a month now, they are so much better than the candles that were in the Jeep. They seem to be well made and the installation was easy. They have a well defined cutoff and with the wide angle part of the low beam staying on when on high beam they light up the ditches very well all the time. Shipping was timely and they were packaged well. Thanks to HR for all the great info about the different types of lights.

Like the sun

I was out driving my lights at night. I now feel safer that I have a better view of the road than any OEM I've seen. The low beams are very focused and the high beams are like the sun.

I think I settled

Not sure if I like the look, now that I have them in my hands, seems like there are so many options with round headlights, I installed one and not the look I was expecting, also not HRs fault.
