HID Ballasts: Designed in California by Morimoto's engineer, Yoshi Ishida, the Morimoto XB 2.0 HID Ballasts are just as good looking on the outside as they are well-engineered on the inside. They are available in both 35w and 50w versions, use proprietary software by the pros at Hylux paired with packaging perfection from the masters at Morimoto. This is today's most modern iteration of a model that has sold more than half a million units since inception, and we don't think it can really get any better!


HID Bulbs: The Morimoto Elite HID bulbs feature ceramic bases for precise alignment giving you a clean beam pattern. Quartz glass tubes to minimize UV output and maximize luminosity. Their Praxair (US) metal halide salts produce very accurate color temperatures in the 4K, 5K, and 6K range.


Wiring: The special Bi-xenon Harness features an all-new weather-pack extruded aluminum relay, 14 gauge stranded copper wire wrapped in durable black tech-flex mesh that looks like a factory harness once installed. No cutting or splicing here: all connections for this Bi-xenon Relay are plug-n-play. Most importantly, this harness includes the proper resistors and capacitor to absorb and smooth out the pulsed signal from the factory fog light circuit that plagues these cars.

Outstanding performance (Honda civic 2011 coupe with A103ET6W101 headlights)

Ordered that Morimoto H1 HID elite kit (50w ballasts), arrived yesterday, installed right away. My first impression was - Oh my!! These bad boys give so much light they are bright as sun but at the same time don't blind oncoming traffic or cars in front, light pattern is incredible. Intentionally ordered 5000K with 50w so they would become 4000K with more lux output.

Overall install was rather easy, if you are familiar with automotive electronics and your arms are growing from shoulders - you should not have any problems what so ever.

The only downside is - HID kits have much more wiring and couple more control units (ballast, Standalone CANBUS, igniter) hence takes more space as opposed to LED kits.

Other than that I'm very happy with the purchase and I want to thank HR for their educational videos on Youtube which helped me decide what I want and what I need to make it work!
