The 1999-2010 Super Duty is not one single headlight fitment. Ford changed the front end for 2005, then changed it again for 2008. That gives this year range three important lighting groups: 1999-2004, 2005-2007, and 2008-2010. Headlights, grille shape, bumper layout, and fog light fitment can change between those groups, so choosing parts by the exact year is important.

From the factory, these trucks used halogen lighting. The original headlights are serviceable with replaceable bulbs, but a brighter bulb is not always the best answer. Older Super Duty housings often struggle with weak output, worn lenses, poor beam control, and outdated reflector design. On 2008-2010 trucks, an LED bulb upgrade can work well in stock housings when the bulb has been tested for fit and beam pattern. For a bigger improvement, full replacement headlights or a proper projector retrofit give the truck better optics, a cleaner cutoff, and a more modern look.

For 2005-2007 trucks, AlphaRex projector headlights give the truck a newer look with DRLs and sequential turn signals. For 2008-2010 trucks, Morimoto and AlphaRex offer full headlight assemblies, while HR-tested LED bulbs are also available for stock housings.

AlphaRex Nova and Luxx headlights are full LED projector options with modern DRLs and switchback sequential turn signals. For 2005-2007 Super Duty trucks, AlphaRex Nova, Luxx, and Pro headlights bring a projector-style front end to the earlier truck. Nova and Luxx are the LED options, while Pro uses halogen projectors with LED accent lighting. For 1999-2004 trucks, a Profile projector retrofit kit is the more custom route. That means opening and modifying the housings, but it also gives you better beam control than a basic bulb swap.

Fog light upgrades make a big difference on these trucks because the factory fog lights are dated and low-output by modern standards. Morimoto XB LED fog lights replace the original halogen fogs with LED projectors and keep factory-style control. Morimoto 4Banger fog lights are the higher-performance option, with wide beam patterns, white or yellow output, and street-legal configurations.

Out back, Morimoto XB LED tail lights modernize the 1999-2016 Super Duty with LED light blades, LED reverse lights, and plug-and-play Ford connectors. F-250 and F-350/F-450 trucks use separate applications, so that detail matters. AlphaRex LUXX tail lights add LED tubes, amber sequential turn signals, and a more custom look, with adapter requirements on some 1999-2007 trucks.

Smaller upgrades also matter on a work truck.
